Walk Kansas is a team-based program that will help you and others lead a healthier life.  Join this program and

  • be more active with friends and family,

  • and walk away your stress.

Fruits & Veggies More Matters
Walk Kansas is based on the 2008 Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans.   The name of the program implies walking but many forms of physical activity count toward Walk Kansas miles. Nutrition information provided through this program is based on MyPyramid guidelines and Fruits & Veggies - More Matters®.

For more information about Walk Kansas, contact your local Extension Office for program registration materials.

Elementary aged children can participate through our kids program.

What a Fun Thing to Do!

These past few weeks have been really fun for me and my staff! Some of us were already walking and exercising a lot, and the rest really "stepped it up a notch" for the sake of the team. I enjoy hearing about the ways my team members are incorporating exercise into their daily lives at home! Some team mates talk about going to the gym, walking their dogs more, or involving their kids and spouses in activities. I have noticed improved energy levels and upbeat moods at work from those who have been participating in the Walk Kansas program. There are more benefits to daily exercise than one might think! What a fun thing to do with your family and co-workers!
